Electric bike: giant news 2020

At Giant, every new year brings its fair share of new products. 2020 is obviously no exception to the rule. The program includes new batteries and new models.

More autonomy

Taking advantage of the latest developments in battery technology, Giant e-bikes will offer greater range in 2020. In the program: the appearance of a new block for 625 Wh. Having the same dimensions as the old block for 500 Wh, it will be compatible with the old models of the manufacturer. On the new one, it will integrate the Pro series models with marketing expected in spring 2020.

Wanting to meet the needs of heavy riders, Giant has come up with a kind of "range extender" for its electric bikes. Called EnergyPak Plus, this option is based on an optional 250Wh package that can be placed on the frame at the usual location in the bottle cage. Not entirely clear, this extra battery is selling for € 400 and will be compatible with more models in the 2020 lineup.
