E-bike: new Bosch eBike for 2021

If the e-bike market continues to grow year after year, then there can be no question of the various industry experts being able to rest on their laurels. Recognized by players like Shimano, Bafang or Yamaha who recently announced restructuring in Europe, Bosch has been improving and expanding its offering every year. Here's what awaits us in the coming months.
Special concept for the 10th anniversary
Celebrating its tenth anniversary, the Bosch eBike Systems division of the German group of companies wanted to mark the occasion with a new concept. Dubbed eBike Design Vision, it acts as a true showcase and promotes the brand's various technologies.
In this styling exploration, the Performance Line CX engine and 625 Wh PowerTube battery fit seamlessly into the frame. It's the same with the Nyon on-board computer built into the steering wheel and the Bosch eBike ABS.

New on-board computer
The Nyon onboard computer, the pinnacle of the brand's lineup, is undergoing a change. In its new version, it automatically syncs driving data with the eBike Connect app and its associated online portal.
Fully tactile, it can also guide the cyclist and provide information on the available range depending on the assistance mode used.
Torque motors
If it is still limited by regulations limiting system power ratings to 250W, Bosch will still be able to expand its motor lineup by offering more torque. Thus, Bosch has indicated that it will prepare software updates for model year 2021 that will increase torque to 85 Nm. This applies to the Cargo Line, Cargo Line Speed and Performance Line Speed engines.
The Performance Line CX engine, widely used in the electric mountain bike segment, will receive this update much earlier. Bosch announces the launch this summer.
