Electric bike with collision warning system

At the launch of its latest electric bike, US company Cannondale worked with Garmin to integrate an integrated radar system capable of alerting cyclists when a vehicle is approaching from behind.

An upscale brand well known mid-cycle, Cannondale is offering new equipment for its latest model, the Mavaro Neo 1, which includes the world's first bicycle radar system.

The tail light was developed in collaboration with Garmin and can monitor traffic up to 140 meters away. When a danger is detected, the cyclist receives a sound signal and light signals.

More safety in the city

Integrated as standard on the Mavaro Neo 1, the unit resembles that found by Damon Motorcycles on its electric motorcycle and allows technology that has become commonplace in the automotive world to be integrated into the world of two-wheeled vehicles. In cities, where traffic is much more dense than in suburban areas, the device is especially interesting and can prevent a large number of accidents.

Designed for the city, the Mavaro Neo 1 features a Bosch system, a NuVinci switch and a 625 Wh battery built into the frame.
