Elwing Yuvy: electric, double and Frenchy

Bordeaux-based startup Elwing, still famous for its electric skateboards, is releasing an original and fun electric bike. The open frame, wide tires, long saddle, its slightly old-school design stands out from other electric bikes at the moment, and the performance seems to be there.

One bike, endless combinations

Available only for pre-order of € 1399, this new kid already has everything great: a two-seat saddle that can support 150 kg, a 250 W Bafang electric motor with 30 Nm of torque, a 13 Ah removable battery allowing for up to 70 km of autonomy , rubber 20 inches with a strip of anti-puncture ...

Its biggest advantage remains endless customization thanks to its many smart accessories. The center rack as well as the front and rear overhead racks will tempt the busiest, while the single saddle saves space for those looking to add a baby carrier ... or a surfboard carrier!

Connected, fast and modern eBike

The design of the Yuvy resembles a '90s moped and is more comfortable (passengers will appreciate the footrest). Completely black, it will appeal to scooter enthusiasts looking for a less polluting, quieter and more modern form of transport. At 25 km / h, this new VAE has nothing to envy the leaders of this genre. The only problem is its aluminum construction currently only exists in one size, which is supposed to be optimized for cyclists from 1,60 to 1,85 m.

We are waiting to know more about the connected part of Yuvy, which should be equipped with a Smart Tracker system for anti-theft, remote locking, hazard detection and maintenance advice. At the time of this writing, Elwing is on hold on orders to meet high demand. In the meantime, we can check out their products on their Facebook page and Instagram.
