The described engine is manufactured by Škoda and belongs to the well-known EA 211 family, which is the same as 1.2 TSI and 1.0 MPI. Due to its small size, it can be successfully used in the smallest models (for example, VW up!), but it produces a lot of power - even 115 hp. The three-cylinder design is quite complex. It has, for example, a water intercooler, a turbocharger, an oil pump with variable lubrication pressure, direct injection, a head combined with camshafts. The manufacturer recommends Pb95, but in this engine you should use Pb98 or Pb95 in a modified version. You should also remember about low viscosity oil (0W-20) and its replacement, preferably every 15 thousand. km. It is conditionally possible to recommend 5W-30 oil and change it every 10. km.

The timing belt is rated for 200 miles. km, but mechanics are very careful about this and recommend changing parts twice. It may come as a surprise that, despite its young age, the engine is well stocked with both original and replacement parts. Even working with original parts is inexpensive. This, and the absence of typical faults, puts the 1.0 TSI at the forefront of today's tiny petrol cars.
