ESP More

An evolution of the ESP that integrates with other features. In 2005, Bosch introduced the ESP plus version into series production, which guarantees increased safety and additional user-friendly functions.

When the driver suddenly releases the accelerator pedal, the brake pre-filling function, which detects a potentially dangerous situation, immediately brings the brake pads closer to the discs. Thus, in the event of emergency braking, the vehicle decelerates faster.

ESP improves safety even in rainy weather. “Cleaning the brake disc” places the brake pads on the discs invisibly to the driver, thereby preventing the formation of a water film. In the event of braking, the full braking effect is immediately apparent. In some vehicles, additional functions make driving even easier: "Hill Assist" prevents the vehicle from rolling backwards unintentionally when going uphill.

Opel's electronic stability control ESP Plus works closely with the electronic traction control TCPlus, which prevents the drive wheels from losing traction when accelerating or overtaking on particularly slippery and slippery surfaces.
