This video shows how the Rivian R1T electric pickup truck is capable of lighting over 20,000 Christmas lights in a forest with a single outlet.

Rivian shows off some fun things you can do with her R1T electric pickup, lighting up a party in the woods with the pickup.

The Rivian R1T is probably one of the most anticipated EVs to enter production next year. It was one of the first major electric truck programs and is considered by many industry observers to be more of an electric alternative to the "conventional truck" model.

Last month, the company released the final specifications, specifications, and price of the R1T ahead of its launch next year. These include a pair of plugs in the back of a truck, which can be very useful for workers who want to plug in some power tools, or for people on a camping trip.

Rivian found a fun way to demonstrate the performance of these plugs by turning on the lights at a company party in the woods. Using a single outlet on an electric van, the Rivian R1T powered 20,000 Christmas lights.

Among the 20,000 lanterns in the middle of the forest - all powered by the same outlet in RT - we invited our families in Normal to see what we were building. Special thanks to our hosts at Timber Pointe Outdoor Center. Happy holiday everyone.

Rivian has confirmed that the R1T will now start at $67,500 for the base Explore version, which will arrive at 2022, while the Launch Edition will start at $75,000 and arrive in June.

All of these vehicles will be available with Ford's mid-range battery pack, which the company says offers more than 300 miles of range. When Rivian first unveiled its lineup, it stated that its vehicles would be offered with 105kWh, 135kWh and 180kWh battery packs that would allow "230+ miles, 300+ miles and 400+ miles".

Shorter and longer range battery options will be available at a later date.
