This e-bike is the lightest in the world

The Baptized Domestique, the first electric bike from Monaco-based manufacturer HPS Bike, weighs just 8 kg. Light weight at a high price!

In the field of electric bicycles, many manufacturers are starting to hunt for the pounds. While Taiwanese Gogoro unveiled its Eeyo 1S last October, a model weighing just 11 kg, the young Monegasque company HPS Bike went even further with their very first model.

Constructed from ultra-lightweight materials including a carbon frame, the HPS Domestique weighs just 8.5kg including batteries and motor!

Almost invisible electrical system

At first glance, you probably won't notice that this bike is electric. A particularly inconspicuous onboard system consists of a 200W motor delivering up to 20 Nm of torque and support up to 25 km / h. Developed in collaboration with Gary Anderson, former F1 CTO, it is hidden in a tube and is directly connected to the system.

As is often the case with ultralight e-bikes, the battery does not require a lot of capacity. Limited to 193 Wh, it's hidden in a fake pumpkin and promises up to 3 hours of battery life.

Electric bike worth 12 euros

Available in four sizes, the domestic HPS is clearly not available for all budgets.

Limited to only 21 pieces, the price is 12 euros. At this price, it's probably better to go for a model that is a little heavier, but definitely more affordable ...
