Euro NKAP. TOP of the safest cars in 2019

Euro NKAP. TOP of the safest cars in 2019 Euro NCAP has published the ranking of the best cars in its class for 2019. Fifty-five cars were evaluated, forty-one of which received the highest award - five stars. The best ones were selected among them.

2019 has been one of the most impressive record years since Euro NCAP began assessing the safety of car consumers in the European market.

In the large family car category, two cars, the Tesla Model 3 and the BMW Series 3, were in the lead. Both cars scored the same, BMW had the best results in pedestrian protection, and Tesla outperformed them in driver assistance systems. The new Skoda Octavia took second place in this category.

In the small family car category, the Mercedes-Benz CLA has been recognized by Euro NCAP. The car scored over 90 percent in three of the four safety areas and received the best overall rating of the year. Second place went to the Mazda 3.

In the large SUV category, the Tesla X ranked first with 94 percent for safety systems and 98 percent for pedestrian protection. Seat Tarraco took second place.

Among the small SUVs, the Subaru Forster was recognized as the best, with excellent versatility. Two models took second place - Mazda CX-30 and VW T-Cross.

Two cars also dominate the supermini category. These are Audi A1 and Renault Clio. Second place went to Ford Puma.

The Tesla Model 3 beat the Tesla X in the hybrid and electric vehicle category.
