F1 2014 - Number of drivers (and reasons for choosing them) - Formula 1

Since 1 F2014 World Championship i Riders will have numerical fixed, like in MotoGP: so they will be more recognizable (thanks also to the larger space that will be reserved for the figures on the bodies of single cars) and will be able to manage merchandising more easily than in previous years (when the number depended on the team rating) dedicated to them.

Below you will find the numbers selected by all the riders participating in the circus and Motivi your decision. It so happened that several riders chose the same amount: in this case, the right of first purchase went to the rider who occupied the higher position in the standings in 2013.

1 year FIFA World Cup pilot numbers

1 – Sebastian Vettel (Germany) (Red Bull)

Sebastian Vettel will be number 1 as he won the 2013 World Cup. In seasons in which he is not the reigning world champion, he will race at number 5: he already had it in 2010, the year of his first title.

3 – Daniel Ricciardo (Australia) (Red Bull)

Daniel Riccardo chose this number for two reasons: it was adopted by his first kart and also belonged to his childhood idol, NASCAR racer Dale Earnhardt.

4 – Max Chilton (Great Britain) (Marussia)

Max Chilton's choice is purely about marketing: in this matter, the British driver will actually be able to sell merchandising associated with him with the initials M4X.

6 – Nico Rosberg (Germany) (Mercedes)

Nico Rosberg's father - Keke - became the world champion in 1982 with this number.

7 – Kimi Raikkonen (Finland) (Ferrari)

Kimi Raikkonen had this number last year and said he had no reason to change it.

8 – Romain Grosjean (France) (Lotus)

Romain Grosjean's wife was born on December 8, and their relationship began in 2008.

9 – Markus Eriksson (Sweden) (Caterham)

Markus Ericsson did not give the reason for his choice. I must say that in 2009 the Swedish driver became the champion of Japan in F3.

10 – Kamui Kobayashi (Japan) (Caterham)

Kamui Kobayashi he wanted 4 – booked by Chilton – and so chose the number he made his F1 debut in the 2009 World Championship with Toyota.

11 – Sergio Perez (Messico) (Force India)

Sergio Perez has always been associated with this number for several reasons. This number can also be found in your personal email address.

13 - Pastor Maldonado (Venezuela) (Lotus)

This number is considered unfortunate in many countries around the world, but not in the country of Pastor Maldonado. The South American driver originally asked for 3 (taken from Riccardo).

14 – Fernando Alonso (Spain) (Ferrari)

It was with this number that Fernando Alonso made his debut in the world of motorsport.

17 - Jules Bianchi (France) (Marussia)

Jules Bianchi was targeted for 7 (taken from Räikkönen), 27 (warned by Hulkenberg) and 77 (in the hands of Bottas). This number is practically a fallback for a transalpine pilot.

19 - Felipe Massa (Brazil) (Williams)

Felipe Massa used this number when he raced in karting as a child.

20th – Kevin Magnussen (Danimarca) (McLaren)

With this number, Kevin Magnussen won the Formula Renault 3.5 Championship in 2013.

21 - Esteban Gutierrez (Messico) (Sauber)

This is Esteban Gutierrez's lucky number.

22 – Jenson Button (Great Britain) (McLaren)

Jenson Button became the Formula 1 World Champion in 2009 with this number.

25 – Jean-Eric Vergne (France) (Red Bull)

Jean-Eric Vergne was born on April 25th.

26 – Daniil Kvyat (Russia) (Toro Rosso)

Daniil Kvyat was born on April 26.

27 – Nico Hulkenberg (Germany) (Force India)

Niko Hulkenberg did not explain why Ferrari fans chose this legendary number. The fact remains that the German driver was one of the main candidates to replace Massa with Ross.

44 – Lewis Hamilton (Great Britain) (Mercedes)

Lewis Hamilton became the British Karting Champion with this number.

77 - Valtteri Bottas (Finland) (Williams)

The choice of Valtteri Bottas is dictated by marketing considerations. With this release, the Finnish driver will actually be able to sell goods associated with him with the initials BO77AS.

99 – Adrian Sutil (Germany) (Sauber)

It looks like Adrian Sutil doesn't have much of a reason to choose.
