All F1 2019 World Championship Rule News: Goodbye Checkered Flag, Simplified Aerodynamics & Minimum Weight For Racers

Il regulation of F1 world 2019 little change from last year. Let's find out the most relevant together.

  1. Aerodynamics: simplified front fenders to reduce turbulence and allow cars to move closer, and a wider rear wing, with a taller flap to increase speed with an open DRS and a more simplified one to provide more visibility for sponsors (for the same reason, cap sizes, deflectors reduced in front).
  2. Tires: There are still five lineups throughout the season, but only three colors (white, yellow and red) for the three tires used at each Grand Prix to make it easier for the public to understand.
  3. Tank: 110 kg instead of 105. Drivers will have to pay less attention to fuel economy.
  4. Weight of drivers: in order not to put drivers on a diet and not to give preference to smaller ones, a minimum weight of 80 kg is set. Ballast will be applied to the lightest cars.
  5. Goodbye checkered flag: it will be replaced by luminous scoreboards to avoid human error, like at the Canadian Grand Prix.
  6. Restart phase after the safety car: drivers no longer have to take into account the line of the safety car, but will only be able to overtake after the finish.
