Fabryka Broni “Archer” – Radom Sp. z oo announces good financial results in 2021, another COVID. Currently, the plant supplies the Polish Armed Forces with MSBS GROT 5,56mm automatic rifles and VIS 9 semi-automatic pistols with 100mm caliber, that is, mature and proven weapons, and continues to improve products and expand the range. The crisis situation on the Polish-Belarusian border has clearly shown how important it is for Poland today to have its own military potential. In the event of a crisis or war, it will become one of the key elements that determine the stability of the country. FB "Luchnik" - Radom will also play an important role in equipping the operational troops and the Territorial Defense Forces, expanded in accordance with the plan to increase the size of the Polish Army to 300 soldiers, as well as in meeting the needs for reserves.

The plant in Radom is the manufacturer of the main small arms used by the soldiers of the Polish armed forces. These are mainly 5,56-mm automatic rifles and sub-carbines of the Beryl family, as well as younger generations developed by Polish engineers FB "Archer" - Radom and the Military Technological University, carbines related to the Modular Small Arms System (MSBS) GROT. The latter are produced in the next development version - A2, and the plant is already working on A3 and other versions. It is important to note that the improvements made to the weapon, including as a result of dialogue with users, as a result of which the plant can provide the military with products that are more and more adapted to the requirements and needs of soldiers.

Last year Luchnik in Radom, like most manufacturing plants in Poland, experienced business disruption caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the sanitary regime introduced at the enterprise made it possible to maintain the pace of production, while ensuring the safety of the crew. However, this slowed down some trade processes related to foreign markets. In an interview recently published on the portal zbiam.pl, member of the board of Fabryka Broni “Lucznik” – Radom Sp. z oo Maciej Borecki emphasized that the negotiations and negotiations related to the increase in sales in the civilian and export market are still ongoing and announced that their effect will be felt next year.

In 2020, the Radom-based company recorded a net profit of almost PLN 12 million (on sales revenue of PLN 134 million). The financial result for 2021 will be known only in a few months, but Luchnik management already knows that it will be positive. I can't speak to specific numbers yet, but this is going to be a good year for our company, both in terms of production volume and in terms of revenue and bottom line,” Borecki said in the interview mentioned earlier.

Recent months have brought a number of changes in the political and military situation in the immediate vicinity of Poland, which in a sense is also reflected in the "market environment" of the Radom plant. In the photographs available in the media documenting the course of the crisis on the Polish-Belarusian border, every day you can see soldiers of the Polish Army and officers of the Border Guard and the Police armed with Luchnik products - 5,56 Beryl and GROT carbines of 9 mm caliber, Glauberit machine guns of 9 caliber mm, as well as P99 and VIS 100 pistols in XNUMX mm caliber.

We are proud that Polish soldiers and officers use weapons made in Poland at our plant in Radom. We hope we never have to use it, but we sleep better knowing that it is Polish, reliable designs that help our services protect our country and ensure security - in a statement to the media in November this year. said Dr. Wojciech Arndt, Chairman of the Board of Fabryka Broni “Lucznik” – Radom Sp. Mr. o. O

The threat associated with a possible escalation of the border crisis or successive movements of units of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation near the borders of Ukraine clearly show how important it is today to build an integrated system of state security, military and non-military defensive capabilities. Undoubtedly, one of its important elements is to ensure the supply of basic equipment, weapons and ammunition for the soldiers of the Polish Army and officers of the services subordinate to the Ministry of the Interior and Administration. The supply chain for the production of this equipment must be in the country to ensure the continuity of production and the provision of maintenance services in the event of international disruptions - if only in logistics. From the user's point of view, i.e. army, the activity of a supplier of spare parts for weapons in the country is also of great importance, and the Radom Arms Factory also performs this function. The uninterrupted supply of weapons, spare parts and ammunition allows maintaining the proper rhythm of training of military personnel and maintaining military units in combat readiness. Thanks to this, at least in this respect, the Polish Army remains independent from foreign companies, and the state enjoys greater independence in political activities in the international arena. Another often overlooked aspect of domestic arms production is the psychology and impact of having a manufacturing base on the morale of commanders and soldiers themselves.

The aforementioned elements creating the "market environment" of the Radom "Luchnik" include the draft Law on the Defense of the Fatherland prepared by the Ministry of National Defense and the statement by the head of the Ministry of Defense, Mariusz Blaszczak, to increase the size of the Polish armed forces to the level of 300 soldiers (000 professional soldiers) and 250 soldiers of the Territorial Defense Forces). The operation of an efficient small arms factory in a country with spare production capacity is an important factor supporting the implementation of the plan to increase the size of the army. Recruiting thousands of new soldiers will mean buying equipment and weapons for them, which is good news for Radom's Strelts from a business standpoint.
