Famel e-XF: this small retro electric motorcycle arrives in 2022
Disappeared since the early 2000s, the Portuguese manufacturer is back with the Famel e-XF, a small electric motorcycle slated for release in 2022.
Whether it's the world of cars or two-wheelers, many forgotten manufacturers are trying to re-emerge with electric vehicles. This is the case with Famel. Created in 1949 and bankrupt in the early 2000s, the Portuguese brand is back with a new small electric city bike.
The manufacturer's flagship model, the Famel XF-17, forms the basis of the new model. Renamed Famel E-FX, it takes the look of the original model Café Racer and replaces the thermal block with a 100% electric motor.
70 km of autonomy
The Famel e-XF, in the small city electric motorcycle category, received the award. Electric motor 5 kW... Built into the rear wheel, it is limited to 45 km / h to stay in the small 50cc motorcycle category.
Equipped with lithium-ion cells, the battery stores 2.88 kWh of energy consumption (72 V - 40 Ah) and charges in about four hours. The autonomy declared by the manufacturer is 70 km.... This seems pretty much enough to cover the use of a small vehicle in an urban setting.
In Europe, the launch of the new Famel electric motorcycle is expected during 2022. The model that the manufacturer intends to offer at a price of 4100 euros.
