Fiat Doblo 1.6 16V SX

Such a Dobló did not discover anything new, but Fiat reworked a proven recipe and put together a friendly car. Okay, he won't win a beauty pageant, but he's not the kind of guy, like his older sister Plural, who fails to convince the average person. For Doblo, standing in front of the showroom makes it easier to make a decision.

It's even easier if you approach him at arm's length. And it's easiest, as with Multiple, when you seduce them. For a long time, Fiat offered only weak engines for such a personal truck, but now you can opt for a fairly powerful modern gasoline engine. We know this engine from other Fiat vehicles, but its roots go back to the early seventies.

Yet it has been artfully renewed and modernized to convincingly hide the years; There is enough torque to keep the Dobló alive when pulling away, and enough power to keep even a partially charged car going decently fast on the highway. And yet it is quite undemanding, as we were unable to measure more than 12 liters of gasoline per hundreds of kilometers, and even then it was a more demanding ride when measuring performance.

The Dobló is also similar to today's Fiats: not too noble interior materials, squeaky, with a lot of storage space, useless on-board computer, rough synthetics on the seats, some awkwardly placed switches, good forward visibility. But the Dobló is more than that: it has a great, precise and (almost racing-like) straight steering wheel, tall (but too narrow) exterior mirrors, a precise shift lever in the middle of the dashboard, plenty of interior space, a quiet engine, good engine noise isolation. compartment) and its large interior is also well decorated.

There is a large box above the windshield, there are many different boxes in the cabin, and the trunk is already quite large. Its bottom is lined with synthetic fabric, which makes things in it stationary during normal driving, and it lacks some tricks of how to attach smaller items of luggage.

The trunk can also be enlarged, but Dobló does not offer anything new. The back bench is divisible by a third, but you can only fold one third or even the bench; two thirds of the (right) part cannot be demolished independently.

Well, the interior is impressive not only in height, but also in volume. Even the rear seats offer some lateral grip, and will especially appeal to those looking for a long section of the seat and a lot of headroom. Doblo supposedly has no real competition in this.

With some getting used to and some tolerance, this Dobló can help you with many driving tasks. In the city it does not look huge, the holiday - at least by the volume of the trunk - is not protected. The stroller can also be quickly removed. I tell you, the days can be quite happy.

evaluation

  • The Fiat Dobló 1.6 16V is a well-motorized car aimed at young, dynamic families. At an even more affordable price, it offers plenty of space, good driving performance and a reasonably snappy engine. However, the JTD version is also worth a try!
