Fiat Panda 1.3 16V Multijet Emotion

Let's face it, we love the new Fiat Panda. The car is really cute and fresh enough to stand out from the gray and boring average car. Whether we love it, as its predecessor, yes, this rectangular box, preferably with four-wheel drive, time will tell. But "Baby Panda", although he doesn't want to hear it (at least that's what they say in the commercial), is on the right track.

The old and the new Panda have something in common. Both are some of the funniest cars out there, both in shape and feel to drive. In Panda, the virus is called well-being and is highly contagious, and anyone who likes to be a little different from others is especially at risk.

The kid, of course, cannot hide his origin and the fact that we loved these old pandas driven by a 4x4 engine. The off-road flavor remains very strong in this car. Justified or not. To our delight, Pandica did not take offense at us when we tested how to ride the crushed stone and trolley track. Even though we only drove the front-wheel drive versions, we really loved the fact that even a perfectly normal Panda is still tough enough to be built for a bit of unusual annoyance.

At the same time, it is light enough that the suspension does not work too hard when driving over potholes and slightly larger rocks, without the risk of injuring the stomach or any part of the chassis. bushes and scratches speak of it,…). This is just another proof that even today there are cars in which a person can experience a very pleasant adventure in a way that is purely inspired. Power, gearboxes and differential locks are not everything, Panda successfully proves it.

Well, not to mention that we at AM have gone crazy and can no longer understand the essence of the car - of course, Panda was and remains a city car. Yes, most of the time we were driving on asphalt!

In this utterly daily life, we most appreciated the abundance of comfort that the car offered us every time we had to park in a crowded place. Apart from three and a half meters in length, the vertical and clearly visible extreme corners of the car are the main assistants when driving or parking in the city.

We sat down reasonably well in the front seats, which were reasonably comfortable (strong material, grip, good forward visibility). Only a few of us were irritated by the middle section of the reinforcement, which, perhaps, too often met with the right knee. Tall drivers will suffer from cramps here, but you can sit comfortably in the rear seats, where there is more than enough room for two passengers. But this, of course, is only provided that you have your own driver.

In terms of interior comfort, we missed one more seemingly insignificant detail: the passenger handle! Yes, when cornering, the navigator always complained that he had nowhere to go, so that he would not be thrown back and forth. But one could also say that little Panda's amazingly well-tuned chassis is to blame. Even on the verge of slipping, the car will still be in full control and balance when the Conti EcoContact tires start to give way.

The liveliness this Panda possesses also has its roots in the engine. Fiat has installed the latest common rail diesel engine with multi-line injection in the nose of the car. As a result, in Panda you get an almost perfect engine that consumes little and allows you to jump enough even in the city and when overtaking. All 70 horses under the hood are not gluttonous. The plant promises that you will drive 100 kilometers with only 4 liters of fuel, which means that you have to drive very, very, very slowly and carefully.

But they are not far from the truth. When we spared the Panda, it only consumed 5 liters of diesel fuel, but when we were in a hurry, consumption increased to a maximum of 1 liter per 6 kilometers. However, at the end of the test, our average stopped at around 4 liters.

In the introduction, we asked if this is the ideal package? Definitely! But only to the extent that others will pay for the car. The simplest panda costs a million less than the smarter test purchase. For a perfectly equipped car (Emotion equipment) you have to deduct as much as 3 million (the base model is almost 2 million)! Considering the trunk isn't the biggest, and given that our company was made of cricket in rebar and the gearbox jammed when put into reverse gear, this isn't a cheap car. For the purchase to pay off in terms of petrol Pandas, we would have to drive a lot of miles, otherwise the price of diesel fuel would drop. Well, for all those who don't really care about the price difference, we can safely say that the Panda with a 7-liter diesel engine is one of the best babes on the market.
