Fiat Punto Evo 1.3 Multijet 16v S&S Emotion (5 Врат)

It may lack the handling of a Ford Fiesta, perhaps the perfection of a Volkswagen Polo, but the Punto Evo, which is nothing more than a "completely" redesigned Fiat Grande Punto, has its charm as if it was born tomorrow and if the buyer was not preceded by the famous GP, he easily believes the Evo was built on a blank sheet of paper rather than a long-standing foundation. However, the transition from Grande Punta to Punta Evo was not as pronounced and revolutionary (in terms of design) as from Punta to Granda.

In the Auto store, we repeatedly found that today there is almost no new car that would be bad. At least not on the sunny side of the Alps. You may have already seen the Punta Evo in the Avto shop for testing, but not yet combined with a start-stop system and a diesel engine, although the 1.3 Multijet is a well-tried label that buzzes in many Fiats and Nefiats. We tested it, Eva, when the sun warms the atmosphere to about 30 degrees Celsius, which meant a good test for the air conditioner, which was included in the test equipment with dual-zone cooling and did its job well all the time.

We expect the start-stop system, which hides the S&S acronym in the name, to start later, when the engine is already fully warmed up, so we experienced several times that we left the place where the Evo rested for half a day in the air. morning., and after about a hundred meters of driving with a stop at the intersection, the S&S system worked and turned off the engine, which was not even close to warming up. True, we are talking about a period when it was 25 degrees Celsius in the morning, but the engine oil did not have enough time for a more specific diesel lubrication. It's even louder at startup, so the quiet moments when the S&S is running are a real ear balm.

Volume is actually the only downside to the 1.3 Multijet we tested, which, despite having a transmission with only five forward gears, showed a solidly low average fuel consumption of six liters per 100 kilometers, and we mostly drove around cities and highways. The 1.3 Multijet also confirms its diesel mission, being fuzzy in the lower rev range, but becomes very useful when the tachometer needle almost touches two thousandths, and the motorized Evo then pulls well over four thousandths, although the factory promises a maximum torque of 200 Nm already at 1.500 rpm

At these revs, the Evo can maintain speed well rather than jumping from one traffic light to the next. The gear lever is precise and hourly enough to delight the engine with urban dynamism, and a couple were lucky on the highway, where an extra gear would come for a more restful sleep of passengers, which would save a deciliter of gasoil. It is true that the Heart Evo 1.3 Multijet is not designed to break acceleration and top speed records, but it is decent enough in both categories not to blush in the company of other small cars.

We would like to compliment the Evo's brakes, which reliably stopped the Italians in our tests. The pricing of the diesel-powered Eva test model is already taking its toll on the lower-mid-range car area, thanks in large part to goodies. They are clear (Blue & Me system, alloy wheels with 205/45 R17 tires, automatic dual-zone air conditioning, body-colored side rails, metallic body color, pre-portable navigation) and less clear (ESP) to deduct extra money. with generous Emotion equipment.

Even more, Eva pleases us in the interior, where soft ambient lighting extends to the test area next to the door handles and between the airbag and the passenger compartment, the middle part of the dashboard is soft, pleasant to the touch, and the interior is completely redesigned, for her, the one in Grand Punt looks like it would have been made in some other millennium for a less affluent market.

They are worried about little things: that when the rear seat is lowered there is a step for an enlarged trunk, that there is no ceiling light above the heads of the rear passengers, that the information on-board computer works only with one-way traffic, that the cruise control stalk is hidden behind the steering wheel. fuel tanks with a key, dirty hands when opening the trunk (if the back door is dusty, and this is not literally a few meters after visiting the car wash) ... The sensors did not miss the package, since the Evo is controllable.
