Fiat – A busy summer of vans

The Fiat Professional commercial vehicle team didn't have an idle vacation. In recent months, changes have been made to three of Fiat's delivery models.

Fiat felt a slight withdrawal from the production of the Seicento small van, which was the cheapest car of its type on the market. There is no successor for him yet. Fiat, on the other hand, has decided to enter the pickup segment more actively. Poland is dominated by well-equipped 4x230s, bought mostly for tax breaks as prosthetic luxury limousines. Worldwide these are primarily work vehicles and the Fiat Doblo Work Up is also a typical work vehicle. It was built on a platform with an extended wheelbase. The cargo box is 192 cm long and 4 cm wide, giving an area of XNUMX square meters. On the side of the cab is a strong metal grill that protects the two people inside from the load attached to the crate. On the other three sides, aluminum sides are folded down with a groove in the outer walls for attaching a tarpaulin or cargo belts. There are also XNUMX retractable handles for fixing the load in the floor. The box has a ton of payload. Under it there is a compartment for long tools, such as shovels.

There are three turbodiesels to choose from - 1,3 Multijet with 90 hp, 1,6 Multijet with 105 hp. and 2,0 Multijet with 135 hp. Prices start from PLN 62 for a car with a 300 MultiJet engine with 1,3 hp.

Among the special bodies offered by Fiat is an ambulance built on the basis of the Doblo. It is a small and fairly simple ambulance that can replace the Polonez based ambulances that are still in use today in many places and are aging faster and faster. Fiat has already sold 30 of these vehicles in Poland.

Recently, a new generation of the Fiat Ducato delivery van has appeared on our market, which is the leader in its class. Fiat Ducato appeared on the market in 1981. So far, 2,2 million vehicles of five generations have been sold. The most important novelty is the Euro 5 Multijet II diesel engine range. The range starts with a 115 hp two-liter engine with a capacity of 2,3l.s.km. Compared to the previous range, the new range offers higher performance and up to 130 percent lower fuel consumption. This is facilitated by the use of the Start & Stop system, as well as the gearshift indicator, which tells you when to change gear. Another advantage is the increase in service intervals to 148 km.

The economy of this car can also be improved with Blue & Me's dedicated app, eco Drive: Fiat Professional, which guides the driver on the best route and gives tips for a more economical and environmentally friendly driving style.

The Traction Plus drive control system is also adapted to the specifics of vans, taking into account the specifics of driving with different loads.

Ducato has a comfortable, functional interior and many interesting equipment items. The cabin has, among other things, two places with clips for documents, many useful compartments and shelves.

Ducato allows you to create up to 2000 different versions. This diversity is due to the presence of several body types, lengths, wheelbases, powertrains, as well as a choice of 150 equipment options, 12 body colors and 120 special colors.

The Ducato Van offers a choice of three wheelbases, four lengths and three heights, while the built-in versions have 4 wheelbases and 5 lengths. Load capacity from 1000 kg to 2000 kg. The capacity of the van, available in eight modifications, ranges from 8 to 17 cubic meters.

In recent years, Fiat has built up a network of factories that create professional bodywork for Fiat cars. Currently, it includes 30 factories offering almost all types of bodies, from containers, isotherms and cold stores to workshop bodies and vehicles for the transport of valuable goods. Specialized bodies are becoming more and more popular, which explains the increase in sales of cab-and-frame bodies. In the first seven months of this year, it increased by 53 percent. compared to the same period last year.

The new engines have also found their way under the bonnet of the Scudo, Fiat's small delivery truck that can carry loads of up to 1200 kg and has a cargo space of 7 cubic meters. The three engine versions are a 1,6-horsepower unit with a capacity of 130 liters and two versions of a two-liter Multijeta with a capacity of 165 hp. and hp
