Fiido X: new plug-in foldable electric bike at a low price

Fiido is launching a new electric bike model called Fiido X. Zoom in on this foldable two-wheeler that fixes the Fiido D11 ...
Offered in 2020 on Indiegogo Fiido D11 has generated over $ XNUMX million in revenue. Despite its attractive design and range, this folding electric bike, developed by the Chinese company Fiido, had certain drawbacks. We could really regret sloppy welds, messy wiring, or a poorly performing torque sensor.
Lighter and more aesthetically pleasing
So the company decided to upgrade their bike. This new version, called Fiido X, is in turn available on Indiegogo. It differs from the Fiido D11 in the frame, from an alloy of which is no longer aluminum, but magnesium. This change allows for a more precise finish and also reduces the weight of the frame (3 kg) and therefore the weight of the bike (about 17 kg). The latter now has a headlight integrated into the steering tube. Its design is even more aesthetically pleasing than the original model.
Regular or “Lite” version
The Fiido X is equipped with a 418 Wh battery (built into the detachable seatpost). This allows the two-wheeled vehicle to develop a maximum range of up to 130 km. The bike is also available in a “Lite” version with a smaller battery. Limited to 208 Wh, it can travel 60 km on a single charge.
Mounted in the rear wheel hub, the engine delivers a maximum torque of 40 Nm. The crank system has a torque sensor that provides electrical assistance, the proportion of which changes according to the pressure applied to the pedals.
The folding system has also been improved. It is now hidden in the horizontal monotube.
Low cost electric folding bike
Fiido X is currently available for pre-order on Indiegogo at a discounted rate of € 930 for the regular model and € 760 for the “Lite” version. Fiido plans to start shipping bicycles to sponsors from September.
