This Ford Falcon GT-HO Phase III could sell for over $1,000,000 based on past sales.

A collection of rare Australian muscle cars is currently up for auction in Perth and each model could set a new selling price record if the current market appetite is any sign.

Bidding is currently open for the Ultimate Aussie Muscle Cars group, bidding is ongoing Slattery Auctions and appraisals.

The jewel in the crown of the collection is undoubtedly the 1971 Ford Falcon GT-HO Phase III with just 17,340 km and an electric blue body color.

The starting price is set at $250,000, but collectors have not been shy about spending more than $1,000,000 on GT-HO Phase III vehicles in the past.

However, for Holden fans, the 1977 Torana A9 is also up for grabs.

This example is done in a dazzling "Super Mint Green" color - it's one of only two cars in that hue - with the odometer showing a healthy 251,817 km due to its racing history.

However, the auction description claims that the car is in "pristine" condition after being repaired "at no extra cost".

The starting price of the Torana is set at $100,000, but this model used to sell for $300,000.

For collectors of more modern cars, the 2017 HSV GTSR W1 (number 206 of 275) and the 2017 HSV Maloo GTSR are available, priced between $100,000 and $75,000 respectively.

The last of Holden's domestic HSV-equipped cars, both cars only show delivery mileage, the GTSR W1 at 50km and the Maloo GTSR at 20km.

Lloyd's auctions currently under the hammer is the GTSR W1 Maloo, one of four produced that will sell for over $1,000,000.

Slattery Auctions no doubt hopes that the interest in his GTSR will be the same, but given the rarity of the GTSR W1 Maloo, the price of it will undoubtedly be higher.

Other cars available from the collection include a 1971 Holden Monaro GTS, a 1972 Valiant Charger, and a 1972 Holden Torana GTR XU-1, all with starting bids of $75,000 each.

The 1975 Datsun 260Z is also available for purchase starting at $25,000 with only 12,632 km on it.

Bidding closes for all of the aforementioned vehicles on February 15th.

On 7News, all cars belong to the same owner, who was forced to sell to pay off a debt related to the business.
