Ford Fiesta ST VS Toyota Yaris GRMN: Icon Wheels FACEOFF – Auto Sportive
These are two SUVs at the moment, one is a replica of a racing car, the other is an all-round sports car, which one will be the best?
Compact, relatively cheap (they are super bubble) and above all very fast. The Toyota Yaris GRMN is extreme in everything from looks to trim, while the Ford Fiesta ST is certainly tough, but you can drive it every day without too much sacrifice. Both are only available with a 6-speed manual transmission, and both have a mechanical limited slip differential, although Ford has this option for 1.000 euros.
But on paper, which one would be the best?

price | 25.600 euro |
Toyota Yaris GRMN

dimensions
On paper, the two compact sports cars are very similar.
La Toyota Yaris GRMN 394 cm long, 170 cm wide and 151 cm high, and Ford Fiesta ST it is wider (174 cm) and longer (407 cm). On the scales, the German stops the needle a 1262 kg, while the Japanese, also due to their small size, weighs only 1135 kg.
La noisy party but has step Shorter than the Yaris (249 versus 251 cm), which, in theory, means that it is more maneuverable when cornering; even if the installation has the final say. Cosmic Chapter: Fiesta Wins the Challenge (slightly) trunk: 292 vs. 286 Yaris.
So on paper, the Ford Fiesta appears heavier, more spacious, but with a shorter wheelbase, while the Yaris is lighter, smaller and less comfortable.
Potenza
In terms of performance, both have around 200 hp. (exactly 200 for Fiesta, 212 for Toyota), but supplied with two different engines:
La Ford Fiesta ST install a small engine 1.5-liter three-cylinder turbowhich produces 200 h.p. at 6000 rpm and 290 Nm of torque at 1600 rpm; la Toyotainstead it has an engine four-cylinder 1,8-liter superchargedcapable of 212 h.p. at 6.800 rpm and 249 Nm of torque at 5.000 rpm.
The Fiesta has more torque, which is great for everyday driving, while the Yaris delivers more power at higher revs, so it's better suited for sportier driving.
performance
Il the weight more (and less horsepower) Ford Fiesta ST puts it at a disadvantage in shot from 0 to 100 km / h: 6,5 seconds, against i 6,3 Toyota Yaris GRMN.
The Fiesta, however, has a higher top speed and touches the i. 232 km / h, while Yaris stops at 230 km /h.
However, very far away, I consumption declared: 7,5 l / 100 km for a German, 6,0 l / km for Ford, which manages to gain a slight advantage due to the smaller displacement and the turbocharger (more efficient than the supercharger).
