The 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E has added another coveted accolade to its trophy box. and along the way, it has managed to surpass the most popular competitors in the field of electric vehicles.

Among the competing cars were Audi e-tron, Kia Niro, Nissan Leaf Plus, Polestar 2, Porsche Taycan 4S PBP, Tesla Model 3 Performance, Tesla Model S Long Range Plus, Tesla Model Y Performance, Volkswagen ID.4 и Volvo XC40 Recharge.

Car and Driver rigorously tested the top 11 EVs over the course of three weeks., including a 1,000-mile drive to test each one in real-world conditions. Mustang Mach-E took first place.

Testers used instrumental testing, subjective evaluation, and side-by-side comparison for both usability and entertainment value.

Ford explained that the electric car award is new and is based on the same criteria as the "Top 10 Cars and Drivers" award. Which must provide exceptional driving engagement, undeniable value and/or practicality, fulfill its mission better than any of its competitors, and, last but not least, deliver driving pleasure.
