Ford Unveils New Ranger Splash Limited Edition Colors

Ford is delivering on a promise it made last September to introduce the 2022 Ranger in three new colors. Splash Limited Edition colors will be available and roll out gradually throughout 2022.

Remember the Ford Ranger Splash? These trucks, with bright colors and flashy graphics, added a splash of color to 1990s America's roads. Building on that nostalgia, the automaker announced last September that the model would be making a comeback in 2022. new colors for the Ranger Splash Limited Edition.

Ranger Splash Snow Edition

The Ranger Splash Snow Edition looks understated and sophisticated, and features an Avalanche-inspired color scheme. Gray accents on the body and grille fins add some contrast, and inside you'll find unique ebony leather with ash gray stitching and special stripes on the carbon fiber tuxedo. A total of approximately 750 Snow Edition Rangers will be built and will go on sale in the spring. This package will be offered at the top of the Lariat line.

Ranger Splash Forest Edition

Next up is the Ranger Splash Forest Edition. As the name suggests, this medium sized truck is painted dark green. The magnetic accents break things down, and the red grille trim really stands out. The seats are upholstered in fabric, though they also have ash gray stitching and carbon weave tuxedo stripes. Ford expects this Ranger Splash variant to be available this summer on mid-range XLT pickups. In total, about 500 units will be produced.

Ranger Splash Sand Edition

Finally, there is the Sand Edition Ranger Splash, which will also be offered in an XLT version. As with the green truck highlighted above, around 500 are expected to be built. They're finished in an eye-catching Desert Sand color and, as you'd expect, have magnetic color accents and red grille nostrils. Inside, you'll find ebony cloth seats, ash gray stitching, and other details similar to the other two Ranger Splash motifs mentioned above. Look for these kits at Ford dealerships this fall.

None of these new Ranger Splash trucks are as effervescent as their thirty-year-old predecessor, but they all look good, and this appearance package is reasonably priced at $1,495. These versions of the truck are expected to debut sometime in 2022.
