This is a universal story about the enchanting world of forest animals that live a life similar to that of a human. Every day they experience adventures, during which they have to face new, often difficult, situations. The most important character is the title character Franklin, a little turtle who lives with his parents and surrounds himself with a group of true friends. Among them are a bear, Franklin's most faithful companion, a snail, an otter, a goose, a fox, a skunk, a rabbit, a beaver, a raccoon and a badger.
