Where is the speed sensor on the Prior and how to replace it
Greetings to all my blog readers and subscribers. Today we will consider such a topic as replacing the speed sensor on a Lada Priora car, as well as its location, since this is the issue that interests owners the most.
[colorbl style="green-bl"]Prior's speed sensor is located at the top of the gearbox housing. But getting to it is not as easy as it might seem, although it is quite real.[/colorbl]
Required Tools:
- Flat and Phillips screwdriver
- Socket head 10 mm
- Ratchet handle
To get to the part we need without any problems, it is best to unscrew the clamps and remove the thick injector inlet pipe that goes from the air filter to the throttle assembly.
- We unscrew the tightening bolt on one and the second side of the inlet pipe
- Unscrew the bolt of the thin hose
- We remove everything assembled
After that, you can see our speed sensor, the visual location of which is shown in the photo below:
Features of dismantling and replacing the speed sensor on the Prior
The first step is to disconnect the power wires, first bending the plug latch slightly to the side.
Then we take the head 10 and the ratchet and try to unscrew the sensor mounting nut, as shown in the photo.
Usually it sits quite tightly in its place, so you can pry it with a screwdriver if necessary, and then remove it from the hole in the gearbox housing.
When installing, pay attention to the labeling of the new speed sensor. It should be exactly 2170, that is, specifically for Priora. The price of the new one is about 400 rubles for the manufacturer Avtovaz.
