Where is and how to replace the speed sensor on Kalina
Many car owners of Lada Kalina face a problem when the speedometer stops working. But the reason in most cases is not in the speedometer, as such, but in the speed sensor. All Kalina injection vehicles are equipped with this sensor and it is located in the gearbox housing. For greater clarity, it is worth showing its location in the photo so that there are no questions at all:
As you can see, getting to it is not so easy. You must first remove the air filter inlet pipe by unscrewing the clamp bolt on one side with a Phillips screwdriver:
And on the other hand, as shown in the photo below:
After the pipe is removed, there is more or less normal access to the speed sensor. Next, disconnect the power plug from the sensor, having first bend the latch:
Now we take the head for 10 and the ratchet, and you can unscrew the two mounting bolts:
After that, use a flat screwdriver to pry the sensor case, as it sits quite tightly so that it moves away from its place. Everything is clearly shown in the picture below:
And now you can take it out with your hands, since it is no longer attached to anything:
We buy a new speed sensor marked 1118 and install it in its place. Its price is about 350 rubles.
