Geely introduced a budget electric crossover

The Chinese automaker is not a newcomer to the development and assembly of electric vehicles. The first production model was the Geely LC-E. This car was assembled on the basis of the Geely Panda. She left the assembly line in 2008.

A new series of electric vehicles will hit the market in a crossover body. Maple Automobile unveils photos of the new subcompact 30X. They plan to release under the brand of a subsidiary of Zhejiang Geely Holding Group. Cars of this brand were produced from 2002 to 2010. And now the company decided to refresh the line of budget cars, having developed models in the body popular in many countries.

New Features

The first crossovers rolled off the assembly line in the eastern Chinese province of Jiau (Nantong city). The dimensions of the new electric car were: length 4005 mm, width 1760 mm, height 1575 mm. The distance between the axles is 2480 mm. According to the manufacturer, one battery charge is enough to cover the distance of 306 kilometers.

Since 2010, the Maple brand has been owned by Kandi Technologies Corp. The cars of this manufacturer were mainly two-seater small cars. In 2019, Geely increased its stake in Kandi from 50 percent to 78 percent. And thanks to this, the brand was revived. The cost of the electric crossover is still a secret. This information is planned to be released later, when it will be decided in which countries the model will be sold.
