Гибрид Porsche Panamera S — Grand Touring
Porsche relies heavily on its four-door sedan. There is information about the work on an extended version, which will be sold mainly in the Chinese and American markets. In a few days, the Panamera with hybrid drive will debut at the Geneva Motor Show, which will be the sixth version of a car that combines the comfort of a limousine and the dynamics of a sports car with economy.
The biggest novelty of the car is, of course, the drivetrain borrowed from the hybrid Cayenne. It combines a three-liter V6 engine with 333 hp. with a 47 hp electric unit, which also serves as a starter and an alternator for recharging the batteries. The gearbox used in the car is an eight-speed Tiptronic S. The total power of the car is 380 hp. The use of hybrid drive has turned the Panamera into the most economical Porsche ever, consuming just 100 liters of fuel per 7,1 km. Carbon dioxide emissions are also behind low fuel consumption, which has dropped to 167g/km. These dimensions refer to the Panamera with standard tyres. The use of optional Michelin low rolling resistance all-season tires reduces fuel consumption to 6,8 l/100 km/h and CO2 emissions to 159 g/km. Low fuel consumption includes due to the use of a system that turns off the engine when the car is moving along the highway and temporarily does not need its drive. This is a kind of Start-Stop system, only it does not apply to standing in traffic jams, but to driving without a load on the highway, which Porsche calls the car's sailing mode. This applies to driving at a maximum speed of up to 165 km/h.
The Panamera retains the typical Porsche dynamics. The maximum speed of this car is 270 km / h, and the driver will see the first “hundred” from the start on the speedometer in 6 seconds. As a journalist, it should also be mentioned that the Panamera hybrid can drive in an all-electric mode. Unfortunately, then the maximum speed is limited to 85 km / h, and the energy in the batteries is enough to overcome the maximum distance of 2 km. Of course, there are no exhaust gases and no noise at all. Such a mode can be useful if the driver does not want his wife to know what time he will arrive home in the middle of the night, but with such a range it cannot be considered a real way to travel.
The advantage of this version is the equipment. First of all, the car was equipped with a display that was transferred from the hybrid version of the Cayenne with a system that informs the driver about the operation of the hybrid drive system. In turn, the PASM active air suspension system, Servotronic power steering and ... the rear window wiper were carried over from the eight-cylinder Panamera S.
For now, the European debut date is set for June this year, although the US should also be a serious market for this model. Sales start in Germany at a price of 106 euros, which already includes VAT and local taxes.
