Homokinetic joint (spherical) – Autorubic

A constant velocity joint (spherical) is a type of joint that allows speed to be transferred between shafts at different angles while maintaining a constant speed. Therefore, it is used as an axle shaft in vehicles.

The performance and life of any constant velocity joint requires cleanliness and the prescribed amount of grease, which also determines the play in the joint. Use only a special grease intended for constant velocity joints, and the manufacturer's prescribed amount of grease, usually indicated in grams, must be observed. If the CV joint protective rubber grommet is damaged, it must be replaced immediately, as the grease splashes out by centrifugal force and, in addition, dirt from the road gets into the joint.
