First option

You have to brake a lot (370 to 75 km / h) before entering this very narrow 90 degree right-hander, followed by a sharp left-hander.

Current confirmation First option dates back to 2000. A chicane was built in 1972 to reduce the speed of entry into Biassono curve while in 1976 this part of the path consisted of two left and two right turns to further improve safety.

Biassono curve

La Biassono curve (from 1922 to 1926 was called the Curva Grande) tends to the right, has a very wide radius (about 300 meters), and only the most talented pilots can collide with it, completely drowning their feet in the accelerator pedal.

On this section of the route, you can reach speeds of up to 335 km / h.

Second variant

La Second variant, also called Della roja variant, it is necessary to overcome a speed of just over 100 km / h (it is logical that you will have to slow down a lot, since you came from Biassono curve) and consists of a left-right S, modified in 2000 and less narrow than the previous "version".

Originally called Roggia curve (due to a watercourse that rose nearby), in 1976 it was converted to a speed reduction option.

The first curve of lesmo

La The first curve of lesmo tends to the right, has a radius of 75 meters and a speed of about 180 km / h.

Surrounded by trees (for this it was originally called Curve of the Oaks), also changed its name to Curvetta di Lesmo, given the small extent and proximity to the city of the same name.

The second curve of lesmo

In this left turn, it is difficult to keep the car on the road, which is moving at a speed of about 160 km / h and only 200 meters along the road. The first curve of lesmo.

La The second curve of lesmo"Slowed down" between 1994 and 1995, now has a range of 35 meters. In 1922 it was called Curve 100 meters while in 1927 it was called Bosco dei Cervi curve... Until the early nineties, before the change of the route, it was overcome at almost 300 kilometers per hour.

Looks like a straight line, but in fact there is Serraglio curve it consists of a very small left turn with a radius of 600 meters, followed by a straight section that crosses the curve. North Upland high speed ring.

In this place (named after the king's hunting lodge) a speed of about 330 km / h is reached.

Askari option

A turn to the left, then one to the right and immediately followed by another to the left: you must overcome three changes in direction at a speed of about 200 km / h.

Originally called Curva del Platano (or del Vialone as he passed the avenue leading to the racetrack) changed its name in 1955 when on May 26 Alberto Askari he loses his life at this point during private practice.

In 1972, a chicane was built to reduce entry speed, and in 1974 it became an option after further changes in width and ramp.

Parabolic curve

La Parabolic curve it travels at a speed of about 180 km / h and has an increasing radius, which allows you to overcome the last section at full acceleration.

In the XNUMXs, this part of the track had a sidewalk consisting of many cubes porphyry and consisted of two bends of the hairpin connected by a short straight line. The current state dates back to 1955.
