Lipstick and lipstick - how are they different?

If you like to accentuate lips in makeup, you are probably familiar with the product that I decided to talk about today in a little more detail. Lipstick is an absolute hit in the cosmetics industry, and we can find plenty of it in our chests. Let's look at how lipstick differs from lipstick, what you should pay attention to when buying it, and take a look at current trends.

Lipstick and lipstick - differences

Lipstick differs from lipstick mainly in durability and hiding power. Although technology has advanced over the years and modern lipsticks are different from older products, their main function remains the same: they provide strong coverage and stay on the lips for as long as possible.

pomade an alternative for those who are looking for a good pigment and at the same time want to take care of their lips. However, they must be aware that they pay for this with somewhat less durability. Luckily, you can find lipsticks that last long enough or are formulated to make it easy to make up for the loss throughout the day.

Where did modern lipsticks and lipsticks come from?

The first lipstick to hit the market (circa 1884) was in liquid form, applied with a brush. Since this product was made from vegetable oils and fat, it tended to run off.

Fortunately, engineer Maurice Levy, who worked for the Guerlain brand, invented the technology for hardening ingredients. And so, in 1915, makeup lovers were given the first lipstick stick with the possibility of slipping. The formula was still not very long lasting, but the pigment applied much more easily. It wasn't until more than 30 years later that the technology to prevent color smearing was developed. This was done by Hazel Bishop, an American chemist.

Most formulas are enriched with all sorts of oils and moisturizing lotions, but here it is not the protection of the lips that is more important, but the saturation of the color. The lipsticks I always recommend are from the Rouge Laque collection. Bourjois. They offer a great color palette, incredible durability and beautiful packaging designs.

How to choose the best lipstick?

In recent years, liquid lipsticks have been the most popular - in packaging similar to lip gloss, and with similar applicators. However, there are also products in the form of a stick or in the form of a chalk or felt-tip pen.

In addition, under the slogan "lipstick" there are many different finishes. Some cosmetic products give a matte effect, others shine or sparkle with particles, others moisturize and delight with a thin satin on the lips.

So how do you choose the best lipstick? Let's dwell on the forms and the results they give.

Liquid matte lipstick

It has the same applicator as the lip gloss. These are usually cosmetics that require care when applied, as some of their formulations may tend to transfer to the teeth or simply spill out. If we often use matte liquid lipstick, pay attention to proper lip hydration, because these products sometimes dry out the skin on the lips.

Highly recommend liquid lipsticks from the series Golden Rose. The line has a very wide range of colors, and the lipsticks available in it are extremely persistent.

Matte lipstick stick or pencil

this product has more moisturizing properties than the liquid version. It is very easy to replenish caries during the day, because the color is "eaten" very gradually and is erased rather than in spots. With such a product it is very easy to create a thin finish on the lips - the tip of the colored part does not contribute to the exact drawing of the shape, so you can either apply a delicate bloom or use a lip pencil.

Here I also recommend the brand offer Golden Rose. Golden Rose Matte Lipstick Crayon is a combination of creamy, non-drying texture with decent staying power at a reasonable price.

Powder matte lipstick

The powder formula in lipsticks is inferior in popularity to the liquid version, but in my opinion it is completely undeserved. This form of cosmetics is based on the smoothing properties of a powdered consistency. Under the influence of our skin's heat at the time of application, the powder turns into a mousse that beautifully fills wrinkles and folds, leaving lips velvety smooth.

Here I recommend two collections: Bell Hypoallergenic Powder Lipstick (cosmetics designed for people with sensitive skin prone to allergies and irritations) and Matte lip powder Artdeco (in this series we get very highly pigmented lipsticks).

Cream lipstick with 3D effect

This group of products is the most hydrated and smoothest, and manufacturers are happy to encourage you to experiment with pairing two colors for depth. But not only the ombre on the lips should make our smile voluminous. It is a velvety finish that is closer to satin than to a flat mat. Creamy lips will reflect light subtly and give the impression of being larger, even if you don't use lip liner.

The products that I recommend to your attention are the entire line Max Factor Color Elixir Oraz Bourjois Lip Duo Sculpt - in one lipstick you will find two colors that allow you to enhance the 3D effect on the lips, creating a spectacular transition (ombre mentioned above).

Glossy liquid lipstick

The twin sister of the first star on this list, but guarantees high gloss. Like a matte formula, it can flow, but should be much better at moisturizing and protecting lips from drying out. This formula is very close to vinyl lip gloss, although it usually has more coverage.

I recommend the series I Heart Makeup Melted Chocolate BRANDS I am the Revolution of the Heart.

It's worth remembering that lipstick alone won't take care of our lips so well that we can skip lip care entirely. In addition, it is one of many different products that are used to color a specific part of the face.

Therefore, I recommend that you read my other lip makeup articles and I strongly encourage you to test different formulas. Read more here: "Lip gloss - what you should know about it?"
