Technical characteristics of VMGZ

The main operational quality of hydraulic oils is the minimum dependence of their viscosity on operating pressure parameters and the possibility of stable operation at various ambient temperatures. For the regions of the North of our country, VMGZ hydraulic oil is considered off-season, for the rest it is recommended for use in the cold season. According to GOST 17479.3-85, it has the designation MG-15-V (hydraulic oil with a viscosity at normal temperature of not more than 15 mm2/with).

The closest foreign analogue is hydraulic oil MGE-46V (or HLP-15), which is produced by the Mobil trademark. However, there are a number of other brands similar in purpose from other companies. All of them must comply with the international norms of the DIN 51524-85 standard.

Characteristics of VMGZ hydraulic oils

The main indicators of VMGZ hydraulic oil:

  1. Kinematic viscosity at 50 °C, not less: 10.
  2. Kinematic viscosity at -40 °C, not more than: 1500.
  3. Flash point °C, not less: 135.
  4. Thickening temperature, °C, not lower: - 80.
  5. Nominal density at room temperature, kg/m³: 860±5.
  6. Acid number in terms of KOH, not more than: 0,05.
  7. Permissible ash content, %: 0,15.

Low oil setting parameters are provided as a result of hydrocatalytic treatment of the oil base, where special additives are then added.

Features of the composition and properties

The additives available in the base oil are divided into three types:

  • Antioxidant.
  • To reduce wear of working parts of equipment.
  • Anticoagulants.

The consumer can use the last group of additives independently by adjusting the limit value of the thickening temperature. Accordingly, it is possible to obtain hydraulic oils VMGZ-45, VMGZ-55 or VMGZ-60, capable of performing their functions at different negative temperatures (the normalized amount of the additive is determined by the manufacturer in the technical instructions). When cleaning the oil, the absence of harmful components in wastewater is guaranteed.

Characteristics of VMGZ hydraulic oils

In order to ensure the stability of the main production characteristics, VMGZ hydraulic oil:

  • does not contain silicon and zinc compounds that reduce anti-wear performance;
  • pre-cleaned of impurities with effective organic solvents;
  • during operation, even at elevated operating temperatures, it does not form ash compounds deposited on contact surfaces;
  • does not contain chemically aggressive components that reduce the durability of seals;
  • It has low foaming, which increases the convenience during routine maintenance of equipment and reduces the likelihood of air bubbles.

The additive package is selected in such a way as to ensure (at high ambient humidity) a good separation of water and oil with the help of appropriate filters.

Application and implementation

VMGZ brand hydraulic oil is universal and is used:

  1. During the operation of hydraulic units of road construction equipment, using high speeds of movement of the working fluid.
  2. For the lubrication of rolling and plain bearings and spur gears.
  3. As a working medium for hydraulic presses from 2500 kN.
  4. For maintenance of powerful metalworking machines at medium speeds of movement of working units.
  5. As the main working medium in all technical systems, the working conditions of which comply with the requirements of DIN 51524.

Characteristics of VMGZ hydraulic oils

The price of VMGZ hydraulic oil is determined by the manufacturer, and depends on the packaging of the goods and the volume of a one-time purchase of products:

  • A barrel with a capacity of up to 200 liters - from 12500 rubles.
  • A canister with a capacity of 20 liters - from 2500 rubles.
  • A canister with a capacity of 5 liters - from 320 rubles.
  • When bottling at specialized points in their own containers - from 65 to 90 rubles / l.
