Harley-Davidson Introduces Android Auto ™

Through a special Android-based application, Harley-Davidson riders will have access to their favorite communication and navigation applications, including Google Maps, and will be able to voice commands through the Google Assistant. The application provides recommended routes, driving records and the ability to find car dealerships, gas stations, hotels, restaurants and other attractions.
The option is available in 36 countries (Google Assistant for Android Auto is currently available in Australia, Canada (in English), France, Germany, India (in English), South Korea, the UK and the USA).

Harley-Davidson was the first motorcycle manufacturer to announce Android Auto compatibility with the on-board infotainment system. The company plans to provide Android Auto by updating the software for the existing Boom! Box GTS in early summer 2020. This will be a standard feature for all Harley-Davidson Touring, CVO Tri and Trike motorcycles.
With Android Auto, Harley-Davidson racers will have access to their favorite smartphone apps through Boom! GTS box and cable connection to a compatible Android smartphone.
Harley-Davidson owners will be able to upgrade their existing Boom! Box GTS infotainment system to activate Android Auto via USB update - on your own or with the support of an authorized Harley-Davidson dealer. The system will also be available as an accessory that can be fitted to many 2014 Harley-Davidson Touring, Trike and CVO models that were originally equipped with the Boom! Box 6.5GT.
Boom! The GTS gearbox offers a contemporary design, feel and features and a duration created especially for cycling. This glass is from end to end and has a sleek, modern look in harmony with the latest mobile devices and tablets.
The Corning® Gorilla® Glass touchscreen surface is made from a tough and scratch-resistant cover glass used on billions of mobile devices worldwide. Boom! Box GTS will offer compatibility with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay® (Apple CarPlay functionality requires use with optional Harley-Davidson® headphones) and can develop on-screen phone features including streaming, time, and traffic applications so users can enjoy using familiar features installed on their phone.
