HBA - Hydraulic brake booster

Hydraulic Brake Assist is a system that helps the driver shorten the stopping distance during hard braking. It is part of the ESP system. It works on the principle of increasing the maximum pressure in the brake system as quickly as possible. The anti-lock braking system (ABS) with electronic brake force distribution (EBV) prevents the wheels from locking. The system uses a hydraulic pump to accelerate the development of maximum brake pressure, which increases the braking effect.
