Hyundai Santa Fe. Changes for 2022. Now also in 6-seater version

Hyundai Motor Poland has announced the release of the 2022 Santa FE hybrid SUV. The model range has been expanded with a 6-seat version, which will be offered in parallel with the 5- and 7-seat versions.

Almost a year after the start of sales on the Polish market, the Hyundai SANTA FE offer has been replenished with an additional version. Buyers who decide to purchase a model, in addition to the 5- and 7-seat options, can also choose a 6-seat version with two separate captain's chairs in the second row.

Prices for the Hyundai SANTA FE start at PLN 166 for the Smart version equipped with a 900 hp hybrid drive (HEV). The price increase of PLN 230 was dictated by the addition of a central airbag, a collision brake (MCB) and additional improvements to the interior trim for even greater safety. The plug-in hybrid drive (PHEV) version comes with all-wheel drive (1WD) as standard, while the richest Platinum version is available from PLN 000.

For customer safety, the SANTA FE is equipped as standard with a wide range of the latest driver assistance systems, including Intelligent Cruise Control with Stop & Go (SCC), Forward Collision Assist with Pedestrian and Cyclist Detection (FCA) with Junction Turning. , Lane Keeping Assist (LKA), Driver Attention Warning (DAW), Previous Vehicle Departure Information (LVDA), High Beam Assist (HBA), Lane Keeping Assist (LFA), and Rear Seat Monitoring System ( RSA).

The SANTA FE board also includes such items of equipment as: automatic two-zone air conditioning with anti-fogging function, rain sensor, rear view camera, front and rear parking sensors, 17-inch alloy wheels, keyless entry system, heated steering wheel, heated front seats. seats, multimedia system with 8" color touch screen, DAB digital radio and Android Auto and Apple Car Play connectivity plus Bluetooth connectivity, trip computer with 4,2" color display and LED headlights.

The hybrid version of the new SANTA FE is equipped with a 1.6 hp Smartstream 180 T-GDi engine. and an electric motor with a power of 44,2 kW. The hybrid system has a total output of 230 hp. and a torque of 350 Nm, which is transmitted very smoothly to the front axle or to all wheels via a 6-speed automatic transmission, depending on the version.

The plug-in hybrid version is powered by a 1.6 T-GDI Smartstream engine, which is paired with a 66,9 kW electric motor powered by a 13,8 kWh lithium polymer battery. The new SANTA FE plug-in is available as standard with all-wheel drive and a 6-speed automatic transmission. The total drive power is 265 hp, and the total torque reaches 350 Nm. In pure electric mode, the SANTA FE Plug-in Hybrid can travel 58 km on the WLTP combined cycle and up to 69 km on the WLTP urban cycle.

Hyundai SANTA FE is offered with H-TRAC all-wheel drive depending on the engine option. The drive allows riders to optimize ride performance on a variety of surfaces including sand, snow and mud with a comfortable grip. Based on Hyundai's HTRAC all-wheel drive technology, the new Terrain Mode Selector provides even more comfortable driving even on rough terrain. HTRAC autonomously distributes torque between the front and rear wheels depending on the selected driving mode, adjusting to the prevailing road conditions. The driver can choose from several available driving modes: Comfort, Sport, Eco, Smart, Snow, Sand and Mud.

For the most demanding customers, the Hyundai SANTA FE is available with an optional Luxury package for a more refined style. The exterior package includes special bumpers, front and rear, and side panels in body color instead of matte black. The interior features Nappa leather upholstery, suede headlining and an aluminum-panelled center console.

Retirement of diesel engines from Hyundai lineup

With the introduction of the new offer, Hyundai Motor Poland has decided to exclude diesel engines running on diesel fuel from the offer. The i2021 diesel units were discontinued in '30 and the decision has now been made to remove the diesels from the TUCSON and SANTA FE models. These events are in line with Hyundai's Progress for Humanity brand strategy and vision for electrification. By 2035, Hyundai plans to completely stop selling internal combustion vehicles in Europe. The company estimates that by 2040, 80 percent of its total sales will come from 2045 percent of total electric vehicles (BEVs) and fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEVs). And by the year XNUMX, the company plans to achieve carbon neutrality in its products and in all global operations.
