Hog Studio - from a pig to a girl with a pearl, i.e. boom in interior design with posters
Now there is a boom to decorate interiors with modern posters. Hog Studio's work, created by Aneta Golan and Kamil Piontkowski, has been taking Polish homes by storm lately.

Once upon a time, a certain Henry Pork, out of love for animals, founded a manufactory on his farm, dedicated to them and working in harmony with nature. Henry even had a Facebook profile where he showed off his first animal graphics of bears and panthers drawn in thin black lines. He had a good intuition, because to this day, many customers are looking for patterns associated with wildlife.
This is the underlying myth. pig studio, which was originally known as the Wieprz Design Studio and began by applying animal images to textiles. Over time, when Aneta Golan and Kamil Piotkowski expanded their repertoire of motifs and began to sell their works also abroad, the boar became the world's "boar".
In their company, Kamil designs and Aneta tells. They met in their hometown of Szczecinek, their eighteenth friend, 18 years ago. Together they went to study in Poznan. She chose philosophy (with a specialization in social communications), he chose environmental engineering. They have already enrolled in graduate school in design management at SWPS. Aneta worked in an advertising agency, then in the marketing department of the University of Physical Education in Poznań, while Kamil began to study graphic design. 4,5 years ago they founded their own company.

Geometric animals win the hearts of buyers
When they first introduced their screen printed bags at the design fair, yes they sold well, but even better, the animal motifs they decorated the booth with. Clients indicated the direction. The posters of the Camila project immediately sold out, including on Etsy, where hundreds of people from all over the world sell their work. Berliners especially love his tattooed animals. “The first designs we created under the Hog Studio banner are my favorite designs,” admits Kamil. – They combine geometry with nature, that is, with both aesthetics that are especially close to me. Basically everything inspires me: art books, old paintings, street art, architecture, typography.
Camille began to introduce additional geometric and botanical motifs, city maps, and finally pastiche of famous works of art. The rights to them have expired, so they can be creatively reworked. A girl with a pearl blows a pink gum bubble, Vincent van Gogh covers his eyes with black Ray-Bans, and a lady lovingly decorates her headdress with a wreath of roses. These posters - cheerful, in the spirit of pop art - were especially liked by the buyers. The "art" series has recently appeared in the interior design program of D.gates of Shelongovsk. Borov does not keep up with the delivery.
Which poster to choose? Hog Studio offers
They keep coming up with new models. We started with two, today there are more than 250 of them. They suggest which works to choose for specific interiors, arrange them into attractive triptychs and print them on canvas.
“We always want to do something creatively, we can’t stop,” says Aneta. They put their soul into all stages of their work. They themselves check the quality of each print, pack and ship. Kamil: - We are open to knowledge and knowledge of the world. And this curiosity allows us to constantly develop.
Aneta also does storytelling. On the Hog website, in addition to the store, there is also a tab with her blog. In it, he shares his books and films, gift ideas and business advice. – I try to share my knowledge – about company management, social networks and customer relations. I have always loved writing,” she admits.
The first post was about Sex and the City heroine Carrie Bradshaw. Carrie's approach is that we learn all our lives, and that learning can be sexy. — Already during our studies at SWPS, in the classes with Zuzanna Skalska, we analyzed the emergence of trends and how companies use them in their activities. We read the reports of Natalia Gatalskaya, whom we had the pleasure of hearing live, and we include them in the strategy of our company. For 2021 we are planning a new series of patterns inspired by, among other things, Japan and Ancient Egypt. We stay in the colors of the earth, but we also do not forget about the strong accents that we sneak into our collection “Sztuka” and our favorite pink is the most feminine color in the entire palette,” announces Aneta.
Do you bet everything on one card?
Two and a half years ago, Aneta and Kamil became parents. This inspired them not only to introduce a collection of graphics for children, but also to move. Aneta: - We love Poznan, we had a good life there. But when Lila was born, we missed Szczecinek. Here we have parents, a lake, a forest. So after 15 years we decided to come back.
They are finishing building a house right by the lake, where it will finally be comfortable to work. In the living room, above the sofa, posters from the "art" series will probably be hung, because they still amuse them the most. They haven't put it all on one card yet. Aneta works at the city's cultural promotion agency, Kamil at a design studio. But Pig is doing so well that more and more people think only about him.
