Honda Civic 2.2 i-CTDi Sport

The combination of a black body, black 18-inch wheels and Bridgestone tires in size 225/40 R18 88Y is toxic, and there can be no more. It's like playing in the factory with tuning, modifications that make an already sports car, which certainly the new Civic is, even more attractive. So only for those who want more. And, of course, they are also willing to pay for it.

From the first moment it seemed to us that the new Civic is the perfect car for special people who like to swim out of the gray average, and also like to show it to everyone.

So it doesn’t surprise me either that I was driving this car "on you" with all the kids who repaired cars or just lovers of sheet metal. And therefore, young listeners of loud music in the car often watched us for a long time while we were leaving the intersection. If you want to be noticed, noticed and aroused sincere admiration, buy just such a Civic. No doubt the perfect shot in black!

Except for the equipment with which the test Civic was loaded onto the roof, say four airbags, two air curtains, automatic air conditioning, radio with CD player, trip computer, leather steering wheel with radio buttons, cruise control, trip computer, electric window lifters. , rain sensors, switchable TCS system, ABS system and xenon headlights perfectly complement the toxic exterior, the main novelty of this car is the modern 2-liter four-cylinder turbodiesel.

You are right that we have already tested the engine (say, in a comparative test of Accord sedans), but it is interesting precisely in terms of stability and torque. Until they introduce the Civica Type R, as we've heard, as well as the racing Type RR, the turbodiesel i-CTDi is the jumpiest car on offer. One hundred and three kilowatts (or 140 hp) and a maximum torque of 340 Nm are just numbers that fit the kind of athlete Civic wants to be. Or rather!

Behind (or next to) the aluminum body hides a second-generation Common Rail system, a variable-angle turbocharger and a charge air cooler, and of course everything is upgraded with two camshafts and four valves above each cylinder. So Honda has taken care of the draft in the engine, which smells like diesel, so you don't have to worry about disappointing you.

The top speed of 205 kilometers per hour and acceleration from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in just 9 seconds will impress even the most demanding drivers, and the high torque can also leave you neglecting the excellent six-speed manual transmission. But if you're a true Hond fan, you'll be able to harness every atom of this car's power, play with the comfortable gear lever, and fully engage the sports chassis and reliable brakes. If you dare, the new Civic has a ton of sports fun!

Sports seats set right above the pavement, an almost cosmic digital environment on the dashboard and a steering wheel that mimics racing wheels with a “recessed” airbag (or convex rim) are a real balm for sports car lovers and excellent handling and reliable technologies are only a guarantee that the new Civic will (almost) never disappoint you.

To summarize the negative impressions, we can say that we were a little sad just because of the launch, which requires a key in the launch lock (on the right side of the steering wheel) and a button press (on the left). ), which ultimately becomes annoying due to the visibility for the car, as the defrost has only the upper part of the rear window (which is separated from the lower spoiler), and the fuel consumption, which the heated driver raises to a good 12 liters.

In such a black Civic, Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones could easily defeat the alien creatures that threaten the world. Given the relatively large space in the rear seats and in the trunk (for this design), maybe you could even be able to ride with the aliens together?

evaluation

  • While there's a turbo diesel hidden in this Civic, it won't disappoint you with its sportiness. In fact, this is the right choice until the R versions are presented!
