Honda CR-V 2.2 CDTi EN

But first, something about the exterior and interior of the newest CR-V. When they changed their look, Honda followed the principle that evolution is better than revolution. Therefore, this car is only being modernized and improved compared to the previous model. The body lines are a little more trendy and above all pleasing as the new headlamp mask meets all modern design standards for SUVs. The car looks big and luxurious on the outside as it has not skimped on chic chrome accessories on the nose and side doors. We can't help but praise the 16-inch alloy wheels that come standard and complement the car's sleek exterior.

Inside, the redesigned dashboard continues the elegant line with chrome trim on the air conditioning and ventilation buttons (automatic air conditioning is standard here). Praises are useful boxes in the center console, doors and on parts of the fittings next to the hand brake (this is already quite realistically established, since the brake lever is vertical and close to the steering wheel). We were less satisfied with the installation and dimensions of the steering wheel.

The steering mechanism itself works well, it is precise and light, but the large ring and its tilt are somehow out of place in such a sporty and elegant car. The steering wheel buttons are set well enough but feel dated. Unfortunately, among cars in this class, we also know a more beautiful version of the multifunction steering wheel. The tachometers and speedometers are clearly visible, but this cannot be written for a trip computer, which offers non-ergonomic access to information (you need to reach the gauges) and small and hard-to-read numbers.

Sitting on the heated leather seats is good, especially comfortable. We would also like to point out the good visibility from the driver's seat (adjustable in all directions) and the good lateral grip of the seats given the performance the car offers.

The CR-V has a lot of space and comfort, even tall passengers will have no problem. The trunk, which is of course expandable with the rear seat that folds three times, even allows you to carry two mountain bikes without additional breaks. On top of that, the Honda has a hidden fold down picnic table underneath that's perfect for comfortable outings. Biking for two, a family picnic - the CR-V proved to be excellent. They even thought about making shopping as comfortable as possible, as the rear window opens separately at the touch of a button on the key, and bags fit in the trunk without greasing your hands.

But that's not all. In the introduction, we wrote about a certain liveliness. Oh, how alive this Honda! I dare say that this is currently the best and most modern diesel with a volume of about two liters, which can be found among SUVs. It is quiet (only the quiet whistle of the turbine interferes a little) and powerful. He successfully transfers his 140 hp. in the transmission of power through the tandem pump, another last pair of bicycles. The engine also boasts excellent torque, already 2.000 Nm at just 340 rpm. Thanks to the precise six-speed gearbox, driving is a real pleasure both on and off the road.

The CR-V performs well where cars are rented. For moderately challenging terrain (such as trolley tracks), the ground clearance from the underside of the vehicle is large enough to avoid damaging the vehicle when traveling in less populated areas. It is worth noting that the car does not have a gearbox and differential locks, so you don't have to use it to push it into the mud.

With all the equipment the car offers (ABS, electronic brake assistance and distribution, car stability control, four airbags, power windows, central remote locking, leather, automatic air conditioning, cruise control, fog lights) and a great engine costs seven million in place. While the reliability of Honda vehicles is good, this is definitely one of the best small SUVs around.

Another thing: in this car, for the sake of dynamism and comfort, the driver sometimes forgets that he is actually sitting in an SUV. He realizes this only when he stands one step above the other machines in the standing column.
