Hyundai: what is the difference between intelligent cruise control and adaptive

Hyundai offers a fully functional driver assistance function. A system called Hyundai Smart Cruise Control provides drivers with a comfortable, safe and automatic driving experience.

Available as an option on many new vehicles today, adaptive cruise control is one of the latest advanced automotive safety features. This is very similar to . However, systems offered by automakers such as Hyundai use radar to detect when nearby vehicles are getting too close.

Hyundai vehicles also have their own version of adaptive cruise control called Hyundai Smart Cruise Control, but is there anything that makes it better than regular adaptive cruise control? Here's what Rosen Hyundai employees have to say.

All features of Hyundai Smart Cruise Control

Since this is a cruise control system, you can set your Hyundai Smart Cruise Control to a specific driving speed. This does not mean that the car can move on its own, but it does mean that you need to put less pressure on the gas pedal. This is a useful feature for road trips, especially if you often have pain in your limbs.

Hyundai Smart Cruise Control also has the same elements of adaptive cruise control. The radar system emits waves that bounce off the vehicle in front of you, determining your speed. If the vehicle ahead is accelerating or decelerating, Intelligent Cruise Control will adjust your vehicle's speed accordingly. It also has a Stop and Go setting that monitors the behavior of the cars around you as you drive.

If the car in front of you suddenly stops, Smart Cruise Control also brakes itself. Radar waves are so fast that there is no delay between the data received from the radars and the resulting features. People often fail to respond as quickly in emergencies, resulting in accidents. The cruise control button is located on the steering wheel, so it's easy to turn it on or off at any time.

Smart Cruise Control radars will also not be limited by hazardous weather conditions such as heavy rain or fog. Rosen Hyundai also boasts highly reliable smart cruise control, which even inspires some new moon excursion technology.

What distinguishes Hyundai Smart Cruise Control?

Many of the features offered in Smart Cruise Control can be found in any adaptive cruise control system. However, Hyundai's software offers a really useful benefit: the front radars can work even if the car's grille gets dirty. Winter conditions can cause your car's grille to become covered in snow and mud that can be difficult to remove.

If you are driving during a snow storm, you cannot keep the grille clean while driving. Adaptive cruise control is essential in bad weather conditions, especially when the drivers around you have poor vision. Hyundai Smart Control is also usually standard on their vehicles, while other automakers can make you pay more.

Which vehicles are equipped with Hyundai Smart Cruise Control?

Many of Hyundai's latest vehicles have smart cruise control, including the 2021 Hyundai Sonata. It also has a good range of other standard safety features, such as driver drowsiness monitoring, forward automatic emergency braking, and lane keeping assist. Higher models may have blind spot monitors that detect any vehicle moving over 20 mph.

The Hyundai Sonata also has two engine options with great fuel economy for the base version. The interior feels luxurious, but tall passengers in the back seat may not have enough legroom.

Hyundai Palisade is more spacious, it can accommodate eight passengers. The first two rows are incredibly spacious, and even the third row can accommodate several adults. It only has one engine option, but it has enough power to keep this SUV going fast.

Critics also report that it handles well despite the extra weight compared to its sedan brethren. Like the Sonata, the Palisade incorporates Hyundai's intelligent cruise control into its extensive library of standard driver aids.
