The Japanese operator Docomo has introduced a new concept of "wearable" SIM-card, which gives complete freedom in the use of telecommunications services regardless of the device. The user will wear such a card, for example, on his wrist, in a smart watch and use it for authentication in various devices that he uses daily.

Releasing the card from a specific device, in our context, mainly from the phone, should make it easier to use the constellation of mobile technologies that surrounds a person today. This is also in line with the development logic of the “Internet of Everything”, in which we use both the electronics we wear and the devices at home, in the office, in the store, etc.

Of course, the card offered by Docomo will be assigned the telephone number of the subscriber of the network. This will be its online identity, regardless of the technology platform currently in use. Of course, questions immediately arise about the security and privacy of the user, whether, for example, public devices that he enters from his SIM card will forget his data. The Docomo card is still a concept, not a specific device.
