Ile-de-France: 5000 additional e-bikes for Véligo

Faced with the success of its rental scheme, the Ile-de-France Véligo service will bring together several thousand additional electric bikes in the coming weeks.

A year after launch and in the midst of a health crisis that is forcing residents of the Paris region to abandon public transport in favor of alternative solutions, Veligo continues to grow.

Supported by the Ile-de-France Mobilités and built on a super-competitive rental offer, Véligo will soon be integrating 5000 additional electric bikes. This new fleet, built to meet growing demand, will gradually enter service from September to October. It will be added to the 10.000 e-bikes already deployed after containment.

“We have decided with Île-de-France Mobilités to be able to distribute these bikes as soon as possible in order to meet the demand between September and October while they are being distributed in our centers. As soon as the deconfinement was announced, the entire fleet was booked very quickly and we had to open a waiting list so everyone could reserve their seat for a new service. ”Explains Adeline Gogh-Lefebvre in charge of the Véligo service.
