Riding on gas will actually be cheap if you regularly maintain the LPG system and make all the necessary adjustments.

The popularity of gas in our country is not due to our love for this type of fuel and concern for the environment. This is due to the economy of driving on this fuel. However, many drivers forget that systematic maintenance is necessary for the proper functioning of the LPG system. HBO installation inspection

The frequency of inspections depends on the type of installation and the quality of the gas we supply. The simplest ones, i.e. mixing plants, require adjustment on average every 25-15 km, while the newest ones, with sequential injection, are much more common - every XNUMX thousand km.

The cost of such a survey is approximately 50 to 80 PLN. During the inspection, you should replace the gas filter, drain the impurities from the evaporator, check the composition of the mixture and diagnose the entire system. These costs are much lower than the subsequent repair and replacement of damaged components.

The latter installations are very sensitive to the purity of the gas, and if contaminants get into the injector rail, it may turn out that it cannot be cleaned. A new one costs about 800 zł.

The composition of the mixture is very important for the durability of the engine. If it is too rich, gas consumption and environmental pollution increase. However, the engine must not be damaged. HBO installation inspection On the other hand, driving too lean for a longer period of time can lead to serious damage and costly repairs.

The lean burn time is extended, which can cause engine overheating and engine damage. In extreme cases, burnout of the hole in the piston or burnout of the valves will occur. The catalyst may also be damaged. If it melts, it will block the flow of exhaust gases and the engine will not even start.

The ignition system must also be kept in full working order, as "misfires" can lead to shots in the intake manifold. This is a very dangerous phenomenon and almost always leads to serious malfunctions.

An explosion can damage the intake manifold, sensors, air filter housing, and the filter itself. And filter residues can get into the intake system and engine and cause additional damage. Then the repair costs will definitely exceed the savings from driving on cheap fuel.
