Oil change instructions for VAZ 2114-2115

VAZ 2114 and 2115 cars are 99% identical, therefore, an article on oil change will be given below, which is suitable for both of these cars and even 2113, since the engines on these machines are completely identical. The procedure for doing this work is familiar to many, but for beginners who will perform this procedure for the first time, I think the article will be useful and help in some way.

Firstly, it is worth mentioning right away about the tools and devices that will be needed to carry out this service:

• Hexagon for 12 or a key for 19 (depending on the installed pallet plug)
• Oil filter remover (in case of emergency, when the filter cannot be unscrewed by hand)
• Funnel or cut plastic bottle
• Canister of fresh oil (preferably semi or full synthetic)
• new filter

Now it is worth describing the whole process in more detail. So, first of all, you need to put your VAZ 2114-2115 on a flat flat surface and then warm up the engine to at least 50 degrees so that the oil becomes more liquid and glass from the pan without problems.

You can immediately unscrew the filler cap so that the mining drains off faster.

We substitute a container for draining at least 5 liters under the oil pan and unscrew the plug, as shown in the photo below:

After unscrewing the pan cap, wait at least 10 minutes for all the mining to drain. Then we unscrew the oil filter, which is located here:

If you filled in mineral water and decided to change it to synthetics, then you need to flush the engine. To do this, you need to fill the flushing to the minimum level, of course, after installing the filter and tightening the pan cap. After working on it for several minutes, we turn off the engine again and drain the remnants of the flushing oil. We wrap the pallet plug in place.

We take a new filter and be sure to lubricate its sealing gum with fresh engine oil, and also pour half of its capacity into it:

And we twist it into place.

After that, pour new oil into the neck:

It is necessary that the level on the dipstick is between the risks of the maximum and minimum values. We wrap the filler cap and start the engine. The first few seconds the emergency oil pressure light will be on, but there is nothing to worry about, it will quickly go out!

Do not forget to make a timely replacement, and according to the book, this is at least every 15 km, although it is possible more often, twice and the engine will work like a clock for many years and kilometers!
