Instructions for changing the oil in the rear axle VAZ 2107

The oil change in the gearbox of the rear axle of VAZ 2107 cars should be performed regularly, in the same way as in the engine, and in the gearbox. Do not think that in this unit, the lubricant does not lose its properties, because the heating of the gearbox parts is high enough and over time all the washing and lubricating properties simply disappear!

This procedure is performed independently without much difficulty, since there are no technical difficulties in this. To carry out this work, you will need a tool such as:

• Hexagon 12
• Key or head for 17 with a knob
• Funnel or special syringe

If you have a pit, then it will be much more convenient to service the VAZ 2107. Otherwise, you can crawl under the car by first lifting its rear part with a jack. First, unscrew the drain plug:

And then we wait for a while until the old used oil drains from the gearbox. Of course, you need to substitute any unnecessary container so as not to pour all this muck on the ground:

After that, you can wrap the plug in place and unscrew the filler:

Personally, by my own example, I can show that I poured new oil into the bridge using a funnel and a hose, but it is better to do all this with a special syringe:

It is necessary to fill up to the lower edge of the hole, that is, until the oil flows out of it. As for the frequency, it is better to do this work at least twice a year: when switching from summer to winter and vice versa!
