Spanish emotions continue - Seat Leon

The first thing that comes to my mind when I'm going to characterize the 1.8 TSI Leon with a seven-speed automatic is that this car has two completely different faces.

We drive a polite car to work around the city, which makes life easier in traffic jams. On the road... this car is going crazy. The paddles on the steering wheel make the beast even more awesome. First things first.

Nobel invention

The test Leon is powered by a 160 hp TSI engine delivering 250 Nm of torque over a very wide range. The unit interacts with the Nobel invention - the DSG gearbox. The seven-speed dual-clutch transmission does wonders for this car. First, it makes it incredibly easy to get around the city, and when driving lazily outside of it, it gives the impression that the car is moving in the air, because the fuel consumption indicator remains in place, and the range shown by the computer increases, not falls. When we want to show off a dynamic lead, or squeal from under the headlights, then the manual transmission will come to our aid, turning an innocent hatchback into a devourer of other cars. Already at two thousand revolutions we will feel that there is power in this car. Leon gets to a hundred in less than 8 seconds, although he seems to be doing it faster.

Good upbringing

The car handles very well on the road, but Seaty has gotten used to it. The suspension is stiff, so you have to beware of potholes twice. The machine is alive, works very well. He has another advantage. Despite looking pretty much the same for six years, he still looks great. Walter da Silva managed to create a timeless car, which, in addition to Ibiza, allowed the Spanish brand to break into European car dealerships. The car is compact, looks great with xenon headlights, and the cornering lights also performed well on the test car.

Right choice of

Leon's cabin is comfortable and very ergonomic, but it doesn't fit this car with plastic elements straight from China. Materials should be warmer, like a brother in the Golf. It is very comfortable, and the front seats hold up well, without tiring on a long route. The seats are heated and although in my opinion this is an unnecessary and expensive addition, passengers, especially in winter, can be satisfied.

We will buy this Leon in a very rich equipment package, including navigation, for around PLN 90 83, and by stripping it of a few unnecessary extras we can reduce the price to . What we get in return is a great looking and driving car with a truly masterful gearbox.
