Used car history. Now you can check vehicle data also from Germany

Used car history. Now you can check vehicle data also from Germany The German cried when he was selling - you can finally check, from sadness or joy. The Vehicle History service has just added vehicles from across the western border... and beyond.

Since June 2014, the “Vehicle History” service has been provided free of charge by the Ministry of Digitization to all those who plan to purchase a used car or other vehicle already registered in Poland, and is very popular. The data is available after entering the vehicle registration number, date of first registration and VIN on the historiapojazd.gov.pl website and shows the information collected in the Central Vehicle Registry (CEP), including technical data, deadlines for mandatory technical inspections with recorded mileage, validity period liability insurance; and the number and type of owners.

Previously, we were able to scan cars imported to Poland from many countries in Europe, the USA and Canada. Missing from this list, however, was the country from which the vast majority of vehicles arriving at the Vistula River come from, Germany. They are here today.

The CEP data included in the Vehicle History will be complemented by a risk table based on autoDNA data. The autoDNA Risk Report shows additional information not previously available in the vehicle's history. Their scope is very wide and includes information on:

● record total loss,

● noticing damage to the car,

● entering the car into the register of stolen vehicles,

● compliance of the VIN number with the ISO standard,

● announcements of manufacturer's service promotions,

● noting the disposal of the vehicle,

● not approved for carriage,

● to your destination as a taxi,

● noting odometer discrepancy

AutoDNA receives data from, among others, Germany, France, Belgium, Slovenia, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Switzerland, Sweden, Austria, Norway, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania and Denmark, so virtually every vehicle previously registered outside Poland, will have such a set of information.

IMPORTANT! The use of our e-service is free of charge, which means that you will not be charged for obtaining vehicle information.

Through a joint initiative of autoDNA and the Ministry of Digitalization, the free reports will also include, subject to data availability, odometer readings from countries where the vehicle was previously registered. This will allow you to verify the authenticity of the mileage in the case of cars imported into Poland from other countries. In some cases, it will be possible to carry out the check for vehicles first registered in Poland even 6 years ago, since odometer readings have been collected in CEP since 2014. This is very important, as most used cars registered in Poland are imported.

The joint Vehicle History service and autoDNA will increase the transparency of the used car market in Poland. The initial check of the proposal not only saves time, but also reduces the health risks associated with the coronavirus epidemic. Now you can check out many offers for free in an area that was previously unavailable without having to worry about leaving your home.

– Poland is different, among others after Belgium, the Netherlands or France, a country that has decided to cooperate with autoDNA. Our partners, in addition to the central administration of many European countries, are also financial institutions, including the largest insurance companies, garage networks and dealers. As a result, the database, managed by the Ministry of Digitization, now has access to more than 0,5 billion records collected by autoDNA about cars currently registered in Poland and previously in Europe. This is the largest free database of its kind on the Polish market,” says Mariusz Savula, Managing Director of autoDNA. In this difficult period for all of us, buyers of used cars can remotely check a lot of information about the car they are interested in, which will help to assess the technical condition and reliability of the offer. For those who list their vehicles for sale, the information available free of charge through Vehicle History and autoDNA will help make the offer transparent to buyers, emphasizes Mariusz Savula.
