The results of the competition of the XI Festival of the Science of Creativity in Zelonka

The annual Scientific Festival of the School of Creative Activity was organized for the 11th time in Zielonka near Warsaw. The festival consists of a competition for elementary and secondary school students of the Volominsky district and a science picnic during which the competition is determined and the winners are selected, accompanied by lectures by invited guests - outstanding scientists and exciting demonstrations of experience.

first Science festival was organized in 2002 with the aim of introducing students to modern methods and problems in science, popularizing science and events related to the world of science. The theme of the festival this year was astronomy.

Incredibly, the science known as astronomy flourished in ancient Egypt and Mesopotamia. Since time immemorial, man has sought to explore the mysteries of the universe. The mysterious sky has become for us a space that humanity has begun to master. You won’t surprise anyone with space flights, observing galaxies billions of light years away from us is a reality, and projects to populate other planets or search for other life forms are not fiction.

The world around us is changing at breakneck speed. What will be discovered in the field of astronomy and astrophysics that will revolutionize the perception of the Universe and outer space? The answers to these questions are unknown, but human cognitive curiosity is the driving force for solving more and more new problems. We want to awaken this curiosity in students during Science Festival of the School of Creativity.

After the guests were greeted by the Chairman of the Education through Art Foundation Dr. Mariusz Samoraj, the festival was officially opened by the Director of the School of Creativity Tamara Kostenka.

The introductory lecture by Dr. Joanna Kanzi from the Faculty of Mathematics and Science at Cardinal Stefan Wyshinsky University introduced students to issues related to the Universe and, in particular, our galaxy in an interesting and interesting way. How many emotions the students were evoked by visual comparisons of the sun with a beach ball, and other planets with a walnut or plum.

The next issue on the agenda was the settlement of the poviat competition announced within the Science Festival for Primary and Secondary School Students. It is very pleasant that the interest in the theme of the contest was huge. This resulted in the number of submitted works - about 200! The jury debated for 8 hours, making a difficult choice.

The works were evaluated according to the criteria: compliance with the theme of the festival, creativity, independence, diligence, purposefulness and content correctness.
