Which is better? | |
 | To check a metal or plastic radius, it is recommended to use stainless steel blades with a matt chrome finish due to the very smooth surface of the radius. An acrylic gauge is recommended for checking a wood radius because the radius is soft enough to leave no marks while still being accurate. To check the guitar neck, it is recommended to use a plastic guitar radius gauge. However, other materials can be used as long as the gauge is rigid and has a smooth radius then it will perform the same as more expensive gauges. |
