Through the announcement of tenders, the JCDecaux group won a contract to build a fleet of 800 self-service electric bicycles in Luxembourg to replace the existing fleet.

JCDecaux, which already operates the existing Veloh 'self-service bicycle system, will replace 2018 bicycles at 800 stations with e-bikes during 80, which will be loaded directly at the station. Switching to electricity should bring more comfort to users for a moderate additional cost, the cost of a subscription will be between 15 and 18 euros.

“The city of Luxembourg will be one of the first European cities to offer its residents and visitors a self-service bike network that fully utilizes electric bicycles. Taking into account the topographic features of the capital, this innovative system will not only expand the network of stations to other areas such as Pulvermühle or Cents, but also significantly increase the comfort for all users of this vehicle. Fast and environmentally friendly. " said Lidi Polfer, mayor of the city of Luxembourg.
