With a reliable nine-speed automatic, this means some serious acceleration when it comes to chasing driving dynamics, while also flirting with really high speeds on the highway. Acceleration to 130 km / h is an easy task for Cherokee, the car is surprisingly quiet, despite the large dimensions and off-road design. Of course, it cannot compete with prestigious limousines, but not even that, because you drive it on the first floor, and not on the basement floor. Quiet enough that the passengers can talk to each other normally, and that the music from the very good audio system (Alpine with nine speakers) isn't always at a higher volume to mask the noise while driving. With a smooth ride, consumption will also remain moderate and realistic - no more than 100 liters of diesel are needed per 6,5 kilometers. With a heavy leg, when you demand everything from two tons of an SUV on 18-inch wheels, it will grow to 9 liters.

But racing on the road is not even something that would suit this car, since the suspension is focused on comfort, not sporty character. More importantly, he doesn't get tired in the long run. The seats are comfortable, the feel of the leather interior with well-placed control buttons and switches and of course the steering wheel, which feels good in the hands, is nice. Perhaps Jeep could come up with a slightly more modern automatic shifter that gets the job done right, but today competitors are solving that problem with rotary knobs.

In terms of buttons, we can't miss the magic rotary knob that turns this comfortable SUV into an expedition vehicle. We dare to bet that 99 percent of the owners of such a car do not hope where they can climb at all.... He is nothing more than the shy iconic Wrangler who is a direct descendant of the first and only Jeep Willys. Rides out of mud and water, as if there was asphalt under the wheels! Well, we can exaggerate with excitement, let's say that there is good rubble under the wheels. Smart electronics, otherwise the mechanics and off-road suspension are just doing their thing.
