By replacing its predecessor's fixed roof with a soft top, the Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 Cabriolet has become a true outdoor marvel.

The Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 Cabriolet made its debut at the Pebble Beach Contest of Elegance, and the convertible two-seater adopted almost all of the design elements from the coupe concept unveiled at last year's event.

By adding a folding fabric roof along with other minor tweaks, Mercedes-Maybach has tried to further refine the show car ahead of expected series production in the coming years.

Aside from a custom-made white top with intertwined gold threads, the convertible swapped out the red paint job of its native coupe for a navy blue metallic hue.

In addition, 24-inch alloy wheels with a new multi-spoke design and rose gold center lock replace last year's wild-looking seven-spoke red wheels.

Inside, the changes are less drastic, except for more extensive use of "crystal white" nappa leather around the trunk lid area, running through the door trim to the dashboard, which was previously all black.

Despite retaining the length (5700mm) and width (2100mm) of its predecessor, the convertible is 12mm taller at 1340mm, likely due to the replacement of the soft top.

Beyond that, the convertible is a familiar offering with its crisp character line that runs the length of the car, from the long, stretched bonnet to the yacht-style rear trunk lid.

A large front grille with vertical chrome slats, narrow horizontal headlights and a hood with sharp creases have been preserved.

At the rear, the wedge-shaped LED taillights stretch across the width of the vehicle in seven sections, adorned with a "6 Cabriolet" badge.

Meanwhile, the interior is a technological masterpiece with its floating transparent center tunnel and two projection displays, as well as open-pore wood flooring and extensive rose gold trim.

Powered by the same pure electric powertrain as the hardtop Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6, the convertible puts out 550 kW of power and offers more than 500 kilometers (according to NEDC).

With four compact electric motors on board, the Mercedes-Maybach show car is equipped with an all-wheel drive system and can accelerate from 100 to 250 km/h in less than four seconds, while the top speed is electronically limited to XNUMX km/h.

Located in the bottom of the convertible, the flat battery pack boasts a quick charge function that adds 100 km of driving range in just five minutes of charging.

According to Daimler AG chief designer Gorden Wagener, the German automaker's latest show car is the epitome of the luxury-focused Mercedes-Maybach brand.

“The Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 Cabriolet transforms modern luxury into a realm of supreme luxury and is the perfect embodiment of our design strategy. The breathtaking proportions, combined with the luxurious haute couture interior, help create an unforgettable experience,” he said.
